         "Story of the Month "        

   Howard was new to the community. He wanted to get to know the places and people around town. He also wanted to find paid employment. Howard walked around town visiting his favourite places; the local coffee shop, grocery and dollar stores, restaurants and thrift store. Howard went to the local employment assistance agency to get some help in finding a job.

   After some time tuning up his resume and a job interview, Howard now works at the local coffee shop twice a week. He’s been getting to know the people who work there. Howard has even run into a few of them at some local dances. This holiday season he was invited to the staff Christmas party. They went to a local restaurant for dinner, drinks and holiday cheer. 

   For Howard, finding employment has led to making new relationships, being included in the workforce and contributing to the community.
